We are very excited that you are interested in our church. We welcome you to come and experience the presence of God and the friendship of His people! We will try to answer some questions you may have before you attend our church.
What can I expect when I attend?
When you arrive at Southern Oaks United Pentecostal Church our friendly Ushers and Greeters will meet you at the door with a warm welcome and provide any assistance you might need. They will offer you a brochure about our church and a guest card. We ask for some of your information so that we may keep you informed as to upcoming events. This information also helps us to be of better service to you.
After arriving, an usher will guide you to the auditorium or appropriate Sunday School class to participate in an awesome experience of worship, praise and an inspiring message that will speak to your heart.
There are restrooms and water fountains located in both wings of the church. In the north wing they are on the left side and in the south wing they are on the right side. We also provide a Nursing Room and Playroom for children ages 2 and under at each service. These rooms are located in the south wing.
We provide live Spanish translation by an ear piece. If you speak Spanish and wish to hear the service being translated live, inform an usher or greeter.
What classes or activities do you offer for my children and teenagers?
Southern Oaks United Pentecostal Church offers different ministries for your children.
- Sunday School
On Sunday, at 10:00 A.M. we start Sunday School with a nutritious breakfast, followed by Sing Time, and then an fun energy packed Biblical lesson. We have class for infants through youth.
- Children's Choir & Children's Church
On Wednesday, at 7:00 P.M. we start with Children's Choir practice in the Children's Church. This helps children develop musical talents and singing as a group to glorify Jesus Christ. The children perform each Wednesday night during the 7:30 service in the auditorium. After they sing your children will be dismissed to Children's Church. We offer two levels of Children's Church, ages 2-4 and ages 5-11. In Children's Church your child will have a chance to worship, perform specials, see puppets, and experience God in an exciting environment.
- Youth Service
On Friday, at 7:30 our Rock Yard Youth meet for an explosive action packed time. They will discover solutions to issues they are challenged with each day as young adults. Your teenager will learn leadership skills by performing various roles during each event. They will develop healthy Godly relationships with other teenagers.
- Nursery
For families with infants, a nursery playroom is provided for newborns through 2 years old. For nursing mothers we also provide a quiet Nursing Room.
To help maintain a secure environment for your children, we will not dismiss your children from a class or children's church until you come to pick them up. If you have any questions or if your child has a special need please feel free to inform a teacher, greeter or usher.

Where do I park?
We have designated parking spots just for you in the first row closes to the church. They are marked "Visitor". If you need assistance to your car or door please tell an usher.
What do I wear?
Many people are not sure what to wear when they visit. When you attend our services, you will see a range of styles and cultures from jeans to suits to ethic dress. It doesn't matter to us! Dress however is the most comfortable for you.
